Scott’s background is in bodybuilding and show jumping. He began lifting weights in his bedroom at 12 and went on to compete in the Association of Natural Bodybuilders for 10 years, taking the title of Southeast Overall Champion and coming 3rd in the British Championships.
He discovered CrossFit in 2007 and followed main page programming at his local gym. Since then, Scott has developed into one of Europe’s Top CrossFit Masters Athletes.
Scott has a particular interest in developing mobility and healthy joints in his athletes, and in championing the long-term benefits of CrossFit.
Sam found a passion for strength and conditioning whilst playing a few seasons of American Football in Colchester. After leaving the team he continued his strength training with the usual powerlifting/bro split style lifting
After watching the “Fittest on Earth” documentaries Sam decided to give CrossFit a try and hasn’t looked back!
He attended classes for about a year – finding new skills, strengths and an amazing new community and then decided to take his CrossFit L1 certificate so he could start to pass on his love of the methodology onto others.
Sam loves to see the self belief that can be born from CrossFit training. Watching people try it for the first time and starting to realise what their body is capable of – and the sense of achievement that comes with it.
Sam offers PT sessions and also runs “Team Titans Functional Fitness for Kids” with his partner, Vicki. Classes run from CrossFit Blackwater on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays.
Leah came to CrossFit after a very active childhood with trampolining, netball, swimming, ballet and finally finding her passion for horseriding, primarily showjumping, at age 11. After breaking her back in a bad accident, she hung up her riding boots and took up bootcamp style training.
L-1 CrossFit Certificate Holder
After two years, she realised that she had reached her limit of physical conditioning and needed to address strength and mobility — leading her to the door of CrossFit Blackwater in 2017.
Since then, Leah has trained through two pregnancies, recovering and rehabilitating after each to participate in various team competitions, including Tribal Clash, Turf Games and Rep It Out.
Leah is a true believer in “Exercise is a celebration of what the body can do,” appreciating how it can keep us all healthy and vibrant throughout our lives.
Lucy’s coaching journey began back in 2012 when she qualified as a PT and then went on to study sports at an elite sports centre in 2014. Since then, she has touched almost all parts of training and settled with her passion for coaching CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting.
Lucy had a 10-year long professional boxing career, boxed for world titles and has been ranked number 1 and 2 in the world by the major organisations.
She has competed and trained in CrossFit for the last 8 years.
What Lucy loves about coaching is to see people progress. The smallest growth gives her happiness! She believes that a healthy lifestyle and being strong and fit supports everything else we want to achieve in life outside the gym.
Jen came to CrossFit in her 50s. She’d had some success with running and home workouts, but wanted to find out more about CrossFit after seeing it online and being inspired by some of the CrossFit women athletes.
Jen became more involved in the business side of the gym in 2024 before deciding to take her Level 1 in CrossFit in 2025. She hasn’t looked back since and has had a complete career change, strongly believing that if you enjoy what you do, you’ll never work another day in your life.
The reason Jen is so passionate about coaching today is because she knows exactly what it feels like to walk through the doors of a gym feeling intimidated, unfit, or unsure whether you belong. That’s why she loves helping people realise that CrossFit isn’t just for athletes—it’s for everyone.
She firmly believes in the CrossFit methodology because she has experienced firsthand how powerful it can be and feels incredibly privileged to help others experience their own transformation.
As a woman in her late 50s, CrossFit has given her a huge insight into what our bodies are capable of and believes that your mind is your only limiting factor.
Alongside her coaching role, she is the Business Administrator for the company, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes so that our members receive the best possible experience.
